Even Bad Email Marketing Has Upside

HEY, DON’T YOU LOVE IT WHEN PEOPLE SHOUT AT YOU AT THE TOP OF THEIR LUNGS???????

Here’s an email we received last week reminding us of the upcoming birthday of a friend.  The email is awful.  Check out the subject line.  You guessed it, ALL CAPS.  Screaming at customers is a wonderfully effective marketing tactic.  But let’s get beyond the tone.  The design is sad.  It looks like it was coded in 1992, in a beginning HTML class.  What could possibly be the upside here?  We bought flowers. Yep, this shows you the power of relevant messaging.  We actually bought something.

Just imagine what they could do with a professional campaign.
