Thanks, Samsung, For A Social Networking Score 1

I am writing this today on my spiffy new Samsung N310 Netbook.  Don’t worry FTC, this isn’t a paid-for review of a product by a blogger.  This is a tale of how social networking has made me a fan of Samsung for life.  It all started about a week ago when I was doing some research about Samsung.  Standard procedure for me now is to sign up for any social networking information a company puts forward.  In this case, Samsung offered me a Twitter account and a Facebook fan page.

Friday morning, I was sitting at my desk working when I refreshed my Facebook Live News Feed.  Here’s what I saw, and you can guess what happened next.


That’s right, for a grand total of $13.60, I was able to purchase a $479.00 netbook.  Pretty cool.  I am sure that I will get a lot of mileage out of it blogging from airplane seats, my couch, and countless other places I don’t like to take the big laptop. 

This is a fun kind of contest that encourages people to watch what Samsung is putting out.  If they did this for 1,000 fans, can you imagine 10,000?  I am encouraging you to become a fan of Samsung USA.  People do win… 

Community involvement is what social networking is all about.  Sharing stories, reviews, great experiences, bad experiences — just like a giant virtual Starbucks.

P.S. – The best part of the story is that the machine was in my hands before noon on Saturday.  Twenty-six hours after I entered the Samsung contest, they delivered the prize to me!
